In the season finale of Chuck, Sarah and our good hearted hero find themselves sitting on a beach side by side. The married couple reminisces and share one final kiss as the scene fades. I’m not really sure that Sarah would have started to regain her memory in these final, fleeting moments of Chuck. With Sarah losing her memory (thanks to the intersect) we saw how difficult it was to spark a memory within her.

I also think back throughout all five seasons,we see how powerful the intersect is (was). Think about when Chuck had it, Morgan… everyone. The intersect can be a powerful, and dangerous tool. Look at how terrible Morgan started behaving when the intersect started acting up when it was in him. I think that if the intersect wiped out Sarah’s memory, it’s gone for good. Chuck will spend the rest of his days trying to remind Sarah while she watches her video diaries trying to help herself remember.

In ‘Chuck Versus the Santa Suit’ it’s Christmas at the Buy More. Chuck’s sister Ellie is in full Christmas mode, meanwhile the Omen virus has infected computers worldwide. The virus causes holiday shoppers to panic and things get a little out of control. This episode just reminds me of Black Friday. I used to be all about Black Friday shopping, but I feel like it’s just a mad, mad experience. People are out hunting for bargains, but too many people are out at one time. The stores are crowded, people are rushing to get to most wanted items and have their eyes on things that other people have in their carts that they couldn’t get to in time. Besides the crowds, the lines are just ridiculous and waiting just isn’t my thing. So? I shop online to avoid mad crowds like those at the Buy More. All of the crowds and madness doesn’t put the joy in the holiday season, it’s just annoying. Unless, of course, you get something good at a fantastic price.

I have been in love with Chuck since day one, there was something alluring about the plot to me. As the seasons progressed and it was threatened with cancellation I was so mad because every show that I like, seemed to be cancelled. I knew, though, that it was coming to an end. Chuck: The Complete Fifth Season on DVD will be released soon and you can relive the action from the final season.

In Season 5 episode 3, Morgan has been experiencing certain side effects from the Intersect. The beginning of this episode leaves Chuck wondering why on earth his oldest, closest friend had transformed into an obnoxious and petulant man… with frosted tips in his hair. Morgan seemed to have lost it, he didn’t care about things that he used to care about including movie night, his friends and his girlfriend Alex.

This has never happened to me, personally where a friend has gone completely off of the deep end… but what I love is that Chuck never once threw in the towel on Morgan and neither did Sarah. They figured out a way to help Morgan and bring him back down to reality. And I think that is the deeper part of the show. Beyond the spy stuff and the shootouts and ninja moves, they are all friends- family really and their story line and chemistry is what makes the show great.
