Ice Box Bakery Music To My… Tastebuds

When I contacted Ice Box Bakery to review their product I said “You had me at hello.” Seriously? I am very picky and only like 3 kinds of cookies: Sugar, Macadamia & Oatmeal Raisin. Mmmm My husband LOVES chocolate: Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip & Double Chocolate Chip. Ice Box Bakery makes cookies to please both my husband and myself. What’s best about the cookies is that they are all natural!

About Ice Box Bakery:

Founded in Boulder in 2007, Ice Box Bakery all-natural cookie dough is made from scratch in small batches, quick-wrapped to ensure “fresh from the mixing bowl” flavor, and sold ready to slice and bake. Using only premium, all-natural ingredients, including real creamery butter, pure cane sugar, and pure vanilla, Ice Box Bakery cookie dough is available in seven delicious, old fashioned flavors and sold in the refrigerated section at Whole Foods Market and other fine natural and specialty food stores throughout the U.S.

About Ice Box Bakery Cookies:

Ice Box Bakery makes baking delicious homemade cookies quick, convenient, and fun to do, for even the busiest families. Quick-wrapped to ensure “fresh from the mixing bowl” flavor and sold in the refrigerated section, our dough is pre-rolled and can be easily sliced by even the smallest hands.

Ice Box Bakery cookie dough is available in seven flavors:

I was blessed with the opportunity to try their sugar, oatmeal chocolate chip and double dutch chocolate cookies. One thing I love is that on the packaging of the cookie dough, there are lines to help you slice the dough- so you don’t have to guess if your cookie will be too big or too small.

I also love that all of the cookies have the same baking instructions so you don’t have to worry about varying oven temperatures depending on what type of cookie it is. (Usually when I purchase store-bought cookie dough my husband’s cookies require a different oven temperature than mine and that can get annoying.) Did you slice through the packaging and loose the baking instructions? No worries, you can find it on the Ice Box Bakery website!

Double Dutch (Mmmm)

I was beyond excited to try the cookies, so I sliced off four of each and put them in the oven!

Ready to roll…

Impatiently looking through the glass

Now, I was very confused once the cookies were done because they didn’t look finished. At least not what I’m used to- the cookies still looked soft- which is probably what happens when you use all-natural materials as opposed to whatever is in the Walmart brand cookie dough that I tend to buy. They didn’t get all round, though they did rise and they maintained their shape. So then I started thinking that I did something wrong.

I knew that I didn’t do anything wrong when my husband ate all of his cookies and some of my sugar cookies within the next week. His critique? They are good, though he could do without the walnuts in the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. My sugar cookie (the one he left me) was yummy. Good thing there’s more cookie dough in the refrigerator. I plan to make it this weekend and buy some ice cream too!

Ice Box Bakery Gives Back!

At Ice Box Bakery, our mission goes beyond making the best cookies. We believe we have an opportunity and responsibility to give back to and be a responsible global citizen. Prior to starting Ice Box Bakery Jen Bush volunteered her time to various organizations in the community. And then she met the lovely ladies at There with Care, a non-profit organization committed to providing a range of practical services for children and their families facing critical illness in order to ease the burden of life’s day-to-day obligations. Kids and cookies go hand in hand. Ice Box Bakery is proud to sponsor a holiday fundraiser for There With Care every December.”
