I’ve been using the Tommee Tippee Sensitive Tummy bottles for C.J. upon recommendation of a few Twitter followers that I have and I must say that I am pleased with them.
I don’t know if these bottles are the reason that C.J. doesn’t have colic like Pea did, but either way, they’ve brought me great joy. No bubbles forming up at the top of the bottle when he’s drinking, which means less air being swallowed, which means a full, happy boy.
BUT. I’m breastfeeding and everyone knows that you’re not supposed to microwave breast milk. I’m not going to say that I never have because I would be lying, but ideally, it should sit in warm water til it’s warm. Well, when you have a baby in the 91st percentile for weight, sometimes he doesn’t want to wait for his bottle to be ready. I knew I needed a bottle warmer. The thing is, the Tommee Tippee bottles are oddly shaped and don’t necessarily fit into all bottle warmers. I didn’t want to chance it and get a bottle warmer that it wouldn’t fit into and figured getting the bottle warmer they make would be best.
This bottle warmer is the truth. Meaning: it will warm your bottle in probably less than 2 minutes. No lie.
Using it is easy- place the bottle in the warmer (no need to take the top off, it just so happens that when I took the below photo, I hadn’t put the top back on after filling it with milk).
Fill the warmer to just below the top.
Plug the warmer in & turn it on.
I put it on 3 every time and I have warm milk in what seems like 1 minute.
Caution: The milk will get very, very hot on 3. I made that mistake once. So be careful. You need to watch the bottle as there is no auto shut-off like some other bottle warmers, which may make it hard if your little one is screaming. You can’t really walk away from this one. With that being said, remember to shut it off too. I know how crazy we parents can get, especially when a little one is hungry… don’t walk away without turning it off. You can use 1 or 2 if you want to be on the safer side (though it may take longer to warm the milk) and 3 if your little one just can’t wait.
This milk warmer is the perfect addition to your Tommee Tippee bottles, in my opinion. It’s great for when someone else is watching your little one too and they will need to warm up bottles. If you’re breastfeeding, it’s good for warming up milk in storage bags and it also fits glass baby food jars so you can warm that up as well.
Tommee Tippee has an entire line of products from bottles to pacifiers to tableware for toddlers (I used their plates and cups for Pea when she was younger).
To prove that they think of almost everything, they have a new product called the Perfect Prep Machine. For formula feeding moms, you don’t have to make a bottle, this machine will make it for you. WHAT?!? We are moving into the modern ages y’all.
