What’s better than a tale or two?
Tales about Tails from you know who!
It so happens the Cat knows a lot about tails
There are tails on beavers, and even on whales!
You can see how a monkey’s tail helps him climb high
Or a rattlesnake’s tail warns of danger nearby.
When the kids want to perform a little dance,
They meet a bird named Tango, who teaches a prance.
Take a journey with your favorite Cat,
The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!

Our Experience:

Since our receipt of the first Cat in the Hat DVD from NCircle, The Pea has been absolutely in love with Cat in the Hat. She sings “Go, Go, Go…” all of the time and dances all around the living room whenever it is on tv. As a first grade teacher, I can’t help but love Dr. Seuss. I love the rhyming, I love the illustrations in his books and I love how much they encourage/make children want to love reading. I love the show even more. Martin Short does such a great job as The Cat and Nick and Sally go on all of these fantastic adventures where they learn about so much like: the importance of working together (in the episode about the ant colony), migration (in the purple martin episode), how honey is made (in the episode about bees) and so much more! In the case of this DVD, how animals use their tails- beavers for building, rattlesnakes for danger up ahead and others.
